Just a quick note to let you all know we've discovered a really fun indoor game that has been helping us beat the heat.  With temperatures flirting with the triple digits I think we all need to be as creative as possible, then share with one another what's working.  So here's what we've been doing, and I have to say, since we started playing this game last week, Crusher and Bam Bam have been entertained for hours on end.

The name of the game is the "See How Far We Can Push Mommy Until She Puts Us On eBay" game.  The objective of this game is best accomplished with a minimum of two players, however, it can be amended to a one player game if one of the prospective players is busy gluing elbow macaroni to your poodle.

There is also an advanced version of this game for older, computer literate children.  Your child wins this game when he has gleefully convinced you that his cerebral self will be using the World Wide Web as a tool not to perpetuate the overexposure of My Space, but rather as a vehicle to aid in the discovery of new species of indigenous plants.  You love and respect your older child so you thank him for his contribution to horticulture and leave him alone in front of the keyboard to continue his studies.

If 5-7 business days later no new indigenous plants have been confirmed, there are unexplained charges on your Visa, and three fruitcakes, six Chi-a-Pets, and eight Dalmation puppies with underbites arrive on your doorstep, you lost the game.
